So You Sew is a mobile community and peer-to-peer marketplace built for sewing hobbyists, made in Alabama, USA.
So You Sew members buy and sell physical sewing-related goods directly with each other: fabric and destash lots, sewing patterns, notions and trims, tools and machines, and handmade finished items. So You Sew is the platform, not the seller — every sale is between two members.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Buyers pay securely in-app; sellers onboard through Stripe Connect with identity verification and are paid out to their own bank accounts. So You Sew charges sellers just a 5% platform fee per completed transaction — lower than Etsy and most online marketplaces, so sellers keep more of every sale — and buyers see all fees itemized at checkout. Every order is covered by our structured refund & dispute process.
Prohibited items (counterfeits, weapons, hazardous materials, and more) are listed in our Community & Marketplace Rules and enforced by in-app moderation, with reports reviewed within 24 hours.
