Frequently asked questions

• Is So You Sew free? Yes. The app is free to download and use. When the marketplace opens, sellers pay a small platform fee per completed sale, and buyers see every fee itemized before they pay.
• How do I get in during the beta? So You Sew is in invite-only beta while we polish things. If you have an access code or invite, enter it when prompted. Want in? Email us and we'll add you to the list.
• How do I create an account? You can sign in with your Apple ID, or create an account with your email — whichever you prefer. Your data syncs securely so your projects and stash are always with you.
• How do I delete my account? Open the app, go to Settings → Account, and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and content. Prefer email? Write to us and we'll handle it for you.
• How do I report a user, post, or listing? Tap the ••• menu on any post, profile, listing, or message and choose Report. You can also block anyone from their profile. Our team reviews reports within 24 hours.
• How does buying and selling work? Members buy and sell physical sewing goods — fabric, patterns, notions, tools, and handmade items — directly with each other. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; So You Sew is the platform, not the seller.
• What about refunds and disputes? Every order is covered by our structured refund & dispute process. Start in the app from your order, or email us and we'll help. See our Refund & Dispute Policy.
• I forgot my password / can't sign in. Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen to reset by email. If you signed up with Apple, sign in with the same Apple ID. Still stuck? Email us.
• How is my data handled? We only collect what the app needs to work, and we never sell your personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
• Which devices are supported? So You Sew runs on iPhone (iOS) and Android phones. It's built for phones, so a tablet will show the phone layout.
